Profile: The American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG) serves the public and the medical profession by promoting and assuring standards of excellence in medical genetics. Activities of ABMG include: 1) accreditation of training programs; 2) credentialling and certification of practitioners of medical genetics, and 3) fostering life-long learning through maintence of certication.
