Call for Abstracts
The presentation of cutting-edge research is an essential feature of the ACMG Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting, and genetics professionals (ACMG members and non-members) are encouraged to submit abstracts for presentation. Submitted abstracts may be selected for poster displays or platform presentations. Abstracts will be published online and distributed in electronic format to the ACMG Annual Meeting attendees.
Electronic Abstract Submission is now CLOSED. Submission deadline was December 10, 2010.
Abstract Selection Procedure
The Program Committee will select the highest scoring abstracts for either oral or poster communication and designate them to the appropriate session. Submitters will be notified of acceptance or rejection, and format of presentation (Oral Platform or Poster) by mid-January 2011.
NOTE: Acceptance as an oral or poster presenter for the 2011 ACMG Annual Clinical Genetics meeting does not cover the cost of travel to the meeting, registration for the conference, or printing of poster materials. Please note that by submitting an abstract, the submitter agrees to attend the meeting and present the poster or take part in the oral presentations.
Confirmation of submission, acceptance and/or rejection will be communicated via email. To assure receipt of all communication regarding abstract submission – please have your IT Department set your institutions’ server (or set your email filter, spam blocker or server directly) to accept, and not block emails from: acmg@mirasmart.com.
Abstract topics include:
Biochemical Genetics

Abstract Submission Guidelines and Instructions
Abstracts must be submitted in English only. The material for presentation should be unpublished and original. Encore presentations are allowed, only if material was previously presented at a non-genetics meeting.
Abstracts are limited to 3,200 characters, including title, authors, affiliations, spaces, abstract and footnotes.
There is no limit on the number of abstracts an individual may submit; however an individual may be first author on only one abstract. Abstracts should be submitted with the intention that they will be presented if selected. Do not submit an abstract if you will not attend the meeting. Authors who do not present as scheduled and do not notify ACMG, in advance, of a need to cancel, may not be invited to present at future meetings.
