2012 ACMG Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting

Abstracts of the 2012 platform, poster and invited presentations may be viewed online by clicking here. Onsite, Abstracts will be made available for online viewing and print on demand only to reduce unnecessary printing and will be accessed at the Search and Printing Stations located in C Concourse of the Charlotte Convention Center or via smartphone and tablet platforms.

Thursday, March 29- 8:00 am – 10:00 am
Friday, March 30 - 3:45 pm – 5:45 pm.

Poster Presentations
Posters will be on display in the Exhibit/Poster Hall during all Exhibit Hours on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Poster presenters for odd numbered posters will be present at their poster on Thursday, March 29 -10:30 am – 11:30 am
Poster presenters for even numbered posters will be present at their poster on Friday, March 30 from 10:30 am – 11:30 am.

The number on each poster board corresponds to the abstract number in the Abstract section of the Program & Abstracts book.

Oral Abstract Presenter Guidelines

This document contains guidelines for moderators, invited speakers, and oral platform presenters regarding Presentation Preparation, AV information, instructions for on-site and Disclosure Statement instructions. To ensure as smooth a technical program as possible every presenter’s involvement in this effort will be appreciated.

Poster Presenter Guidelines

Posters will be located in Exhibit Hall C of the Charlotte Convention Center. Posters will be on display during all Exhibit Hall hours, and there will be two (2) poster sessions time periods where presenters must be present at their boards during the 2012 ACMG meeting:

Thursday, March 29, 2012 – 10:30 am – 11:30 am (Authors of ODD numbered boards to present)

Friday, March 30, 2012 – 10:30 am – 11:30 am (Authors of EVEN numbered boards to present)

If you know in advance of the meeting that you must cancel your presentation, please notify the Administrative Office as soon as possible (acmg@acmg.net). "No-shows" will be noted by the Program Committee and may not be invited to present at future ACMG meetings.

MOUNTING AND DISMOUNTING

Posters must be mounted during the times outlined below and may not be removed prior to the Exhibit Hall closing on Friday, March 30 at 1:00 pm. The poster area is open when exhibits are open so to maximize their accessibility and viewing opportunities, it is required that posters be up during all exhibit hours.

Mounting: Wednesday, March 28, 2011 – 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Materials must be mounted between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm on Wednesday, March 28. Numbers will be posted on the poster boards and your board number will correspond to your abstract number in the program. Pushpins will be provided. Do not mark on the poster boards. Audiovisual equipment and electrical outlets are not available in the poster area. Posters must be mounted no later than 5:00 pm on Wednesday, March 28 – the exhibit hall will open at 5:30 pm for the Opening Reception and Poster Mounting cannot take place once the hall has opened.

Dismounting: Friday, March 30, 2012 – 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm
The exhibit hall closes at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 30 – Posters may not be removed prior to that time as attendees are still viewing posters until the end of exhibit hours. Posters must be removed immediately upon the exhibits closing – at 1:00 pm – and no later than 2:00 pm – posters left up after 2:00 pm on Friday, March 30, may be discarded.

POSTER MEASUREMENTS

Each poster space is 3'8" x 3'8" – Posters must be produced to fit within this space. Posters must be no larger than 3’8” (or 44 inches) vertically by 3’8” (or 44 inches) horizontally to fit within the display space.

POSTER PRODUCTION/PRINTING

ACMG’s Abstract Submission provider will offer poster printing and delivery services for a slight fee. Detailed information will be sent to Poster Presenters in February 2012.

REGISTRATION

Acceptance as an oral or poster presenter for the 2012 ACMG Annual Clinical Genetics meeting does not cover the cost of travel to the meeting, registration for the conference, or printing of poster materials. Please note that by submitting an abstract, the submitter agrees to attend the meeting and present the poster or take part in the oral presentations. Abstract presenters must register for full to attend the meeting. Registration opens in October 2011.
