Industry Supported Satellite Symposia
Industry Supported Satellite Symposia are 90-minute independently developed educational events held in conjunction with the ACMG Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting as dinner and/or breakfast sessions that are supported through educational grants. These symposia are not part of the ACMG official educational program, they are not endorsed by ACMG,and all symposia must be approved for CME by an accredited ACCME provider.
Presented by experts presenting new research and industry advances, these programs provide additional valuable scientific and educational opportunities to those in attendance at the meeting and are usually attended by 250-400 genetics professionals practicing in medicine, counseling and research. Industry Supported Satellite Symposia are complimentary to all ACMG Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting attendees and open for all to attend. Pre-registration through the ACMG Registration site is required.
FEES
Educational grants to the American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG) in the amount of $16,000 for breakfast symposia and $20,000 for dinner symposia for each 90 minute session cover the following costs to support Industry Supported Satellite Symposia:
Expenses for up to two faculty* (airfare, one night hotel room and tax, one day per diem, $500 honoraria, and registration for the 2012 Meeting)
Continental breakfast or light dinner for participants
ALL meeting services and logistical support (AV, registration of attendees, signage, etc.)
*Additional faculty may be proposed for an added fee of $2,500 each.
After August 17, a $5,000 late application fee will apply. No applications will be considered after December 1, 2011.
SCHEDULE
ACMG policy prohibits competing activities with the ACMG educational program, and will assign up to two symposia in the following acceptable time slots.
Dinner Symposia
Tuesday, March 27, 2012: 5:30 pm –7:00 pm
Breakfast Symposia:
Wednesday, March 28, 2012: 8:00 am – 9:30 am
Friday, March 30, 2012: 7:00am – 8:30am
