FAQ - event cancellation and the Digital Edition

The ACMG Board of Directors and leadership cancelled the meeting on March 8 because they believed this to be the most responsible course of action to protect the health and well-being of attendees and the patients they serve, presenters, exhibitors, staff, vendors and all those engaged in the conference.

The Digital Edition

The ACMG created the Digital Edition to give attendees access to recordings of the educational content which would have been presented at the meeting in San Antonio. The majority of the presenters are graciously recording their sessions by April 20th. In addition, there is the opportunity to browse the exhibiting companies, watch recordings of Exhibit Theaters and Satellite Symposia. Access to the abstracts and posters, Exhibit Theater and Satellite Symposia recordings, exhibitors and the game is available to all.
A full list of the recorded presentations and sessions to be included in the Digital Edition will be available on May 1. It is anticipated that this will be 40-50 hours of content. In addition, a few sessions will be in the form of a blended learning webinar and one session will be offered live on May 20. See program
Two short courses will be included in the Digital Edition, 1) Essential Fundamentals - Next Generation Sequencing from the Beginning and 2) Prenatal to Postnatal Renal and Genitourinary Anomalies - Genetics, Management and Outcomes - A Joint Course with ISPD.
This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. ACMG estimates that we will be able to offer 40-50 hours of presentations. We will provide P.A.C.E.™ credits and will submit to the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) for approval of Category 1 CEUs.
Already registered attendees may select the option to receive a 30% refund with access to the Digital Edition. For those who were not already registered for the San Antonio meeting due to other commitments, we will be offering this great learning opportunity to anyone interested, and details to register as a new attendee will be provided in the coming weeks at www.acmgmeeting.net.
The Digital Edition includes all accepted abstracts plus posters where those have been uploaded by the authors. No credits are available for the posters. Access to the poster hall is available to all.
Content for the Digital Edition is in the ACMG Genetics Academy. An ACMG account (free) is required to access all items in the Digital Edition. Click here to create an account or log in. Instructions for first time users of the Genetics Academy are available here. Attendees who select the paid option for the Digital Edition will receive an email from education@acmg.net with instructions for access to the recorded scientific sessions on May 1.
