Andria Besser is a board-certified genetic counselor and Director of Reproductive Genetics at the NYU Langone Fertility Center. She obtained her Master's in Genetic Counseling at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and has been specializing in assisted reproductive technologies for more than 12 years. She is currently serving as Secretary/Treasurer for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine's Genetic Counseling Professional Group, which follows a 3-year term on the ASRM Patient Education Committee, and she is a past Chair of the National Society of Genetic Counselors' ART/Infertility Special Interest Group. She has co-authored several publications about preimplantation genetic testing, including the in-development ASRM committee opinion on PGT for monogenic conditions.
