Dr. Ann Punnoose attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she majored in Brain and Cognitive Sciences (Course IX) and minored in creative writing. She then attended the Penn State University College of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at the Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York. She was a Fishbein Fellow of Medical Editing at the Journal of the American Medical Association. Dr Punnoose completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship and a senior fellowship in heart failure and transplant at Children's National and Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, respectively. She joined Children's Wisconsin as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in 2016. During her time at Children's Wisconsin, she was a site principal investigator for a clinical trial and participated in multiple clinical research projects on congenital heart disease, heart failure and transplant. In 2020, she joined the FDA in the Division of Rare Diseases and Medical Genetics as a clinical reviewer.
