Dr Bekim Sadikovic is the Division Head of the Molecular Diagnostics Division and an Associate Professor at the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Western University. Dr Sadikovic is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics, and an American Board off Medical Genetics Diplomate in Clinical Molecular Genetics and Clinical Cytogenetics.
In his role as the Scientific and Clinical Director of the Verspeeten Clinical Genome Centre, he oversees a translational research program focused on molecular biomarker discovery and diagnostic technology development, and genomics and epigenomics of rare diseases and cancer. Dr Sadikovic is the Principal Investigator of the Genome Canada, Genetic Applications Partnership Program (GAPP) Grant titled: Beyond Genomics: Beyond Genomics: Assessing the Improvement in Diagnosis of Rare Diseases using Clinical Epigenomics in Canada (EpiSign-CAN). This National study is designed to assess the health systems impact of introducing genomic DNA methylation testing in patients with rare neurodevelopmental disorders.
