Bushra is currently a 2nd year graduate student in the Molecular Genetics program at the University of Toronto. She is a member of the Costain Lab at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) where she is working on her project related to improving variant interpretation of germline missense variants. Bushra is leveraging skills in bioinformatics and machine learning to develop novel methods involving the use of cancer mutational data from large databases to aid in germline variant interpretation. Prior to her graduate studies, Bushra completed her Bachelor of Science at McMaster University in Hamilton, ON Canada in Biochemistry.
