Dr. Murali is a pediatric geneticist and assistant professor of molecular and human genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. She sees general genetics, skeletal dysplasia, and neurofibromatosis type 1 patients at Texas Children's Hospital. Dr. Murali's research is focused on the psychosocial effects of living with a genetic disease, including quality of life, illness perceptions, genomic orientation and knowledge, and lived experience. In addition to her work as a physician, Dr. Murali is a published personal essayist who writes about identity in all its forms.
