Elaine Pereira, MD is a clinical geneticist at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. She is an active member of the ACMG and her local chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her areas of interests include congenital heart disease, aortopathies, collagenopathies, congenital hearing loss, primary ciliary dyskinesia, and hemorrhagic hereditary telangiectasias. In the clinical setting, Dr. Pereira has collaborative efforts to improve patient/family centered genetic testing and utilization of the electronic medical record to standardize genetic information for patients/providers. She works closely with the Reproductive Genetics team to formulate strategies for molecular testing for newborns with congenital anomalies concerning for a genetic condition.
