Emily Shelkowitz, MD is a pediatric geneticist at Seattle Children's Hospital and an assistant professor at the University of Washington. She completed medical school at Brown University and post-graduate training in pediatrics, medical genetics and medical biochemical genetics at the University of Colorado. Her clinical and research interests focus on improving the care of children with progressive metabolic/mitochondrial disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. She is passionate about integrating principles of palliative care into her practice as a biochemical geneticist.
