Eva Morava MD PhD is a ABMGG Board Certified clinical geneticist, and full professor at the Division of Medical Genetics and Genomics, Department of Genetics and Genomic Sciences, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is the director of the Genetics Residency and Fellowship Programs and the Inherited Metabolic Diseases Program.
Her research focus is on inborn errors of metabolism, particularly congenital disorders of glycosylation (CDG) and mitochondrial disorders. She is the lead investigator for the Frontiers of CDG Consortium, and co-chair of the Joint leadership team of the NIH Rare Disorder Clinical Research network. She has a strong research interest and has a history of leading successful collaborations with international research groups on translational research projects, genetic disease discovery and therapy development in rare disorders.
She is also the Editor in Chief of the journal Molecular Genetics and Metabolism.
As an international trainee, who has worked on 2 continents, Dr Morava has been training residents and fellows for more than 20 years. She won several educational awards. Dr Morava is fully invested in education at all levels and in different contexts, including medical and graduate students, postgraduate learners and patient education as well.
