Janet Legare MD is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics in the divisions of Genetics and Metabolism, and Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Wisconsin. She heads the Midwest Regional Bone Dysplasia Clinic as well as the Neuromotor clinic. She has a passion for working with individuals with skeletal dysplasia and other genetic diagnoses and sees patients throughout the lifespan. Her research focuses on clinical aspects of skeletal dysplasias. She has approximately 30 publications, 28 of which are in the last 7 years. Dr. Legare is a collaborator and enjoys working with other disciplines to provide the best care possible for children with skeletal dysplasias and other genetic diagnoses. She is a member of the medical advisory board for Little People of America, a member of the International Skeletal Dysplasia Society, and a collaborator on the largest natural history study done for achondroplasia, the CLARITY study. She is also a PI for multiple clinical trials for treatment of children with achondroplasia.
