Keith Eddleman

Dr. Eddleman is a board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist, maternal-fetal medicine subspecialist, and clinical geneticist. After completion of his formal training in 1996, he joined the full-time faculty in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. While there, he advanced to the rank of Professor in both the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences as well as the Department of Genetics & Genomics. He served as the Director for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship program, the Director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and the Director of Obstetrics. When the Mount Sinai Health System was formed in 2013, he served as the System Director of Obstetrics and the System Director of Ambulatory Women's Services. He has served on many committees, both within and outside of Mount Sinai, including the Obstetrical Performance Improvement Committee for the organization's insurance carrier and the Program Committee for the American College of Medical Genetics, where he currently serves as chair. He was also invited annually to serve as an oral board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology for 15 years. He has taught many medical students, genetic counseling students, residents, fellows and peers. He recently left academic medicine to serve as a consultant to organizations helping them improve patient safety and to implement standards that will hopefully save lives.
