Kristen Dilzell Yu is a Senior Genetic Counselor with the Department of Genomic Health and MyCode Genomic Screening and Counseling Program at Geisinger. Her research focuses on the clinical presentation of variants identified in the MyCode unselected healthcare population, with specific interest in cardiovascular diseases. She is also involved in several initiatives related to patient and provider follow-up after disclosure of genomic screening results, including co-leading Geisinger's Primary Care-Genetics Engagement Group, developing and reviewing educational materials, and piloting projects to improve management adherence. Prior to Geisinger, she worked at NorthShore University HealthSystem (now Endeavor Health) as a clinical genetic counselor and contributor to several primary care genomics initiatives including DNA10K. She was previously a genetic counselor with the Medical Genetics team at University of Pennsylvania, providing counseling for several indications including hereditary aortic disease.
