Lina Rebaiz

Lina Rebeiz is a medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine, currently pursuing her MD with a special interest in rare diseases and family medicine. Over ten years ago, when Lina was a freshman in college, she was diagnosed with acute intermittent porphyria (AIP), a life-changing experience that ignited her passion for patient advocacy. She has been a prominent voice for the porphyria community, advocating for increased awareness, research, and patient support. In addition to her academic pursuits, she has co-authored multiple research papers on the porphyrias, contributing to advancements in diagnostic tools and patient care. Her long-term goal is to bridge the gap between clinical practice and research, ensuring that underrepresented patient populations receive the attention and resources they deserve. Lina is committed to fostering a more inclusive healthcare environment, where rare diseases are recognized, and patients' voices are heard.
