Dr. Maura Ruzhnikov is a Physician in the Division of Rare Diseases and Medical Genetics at the FDA and also sees patients in the Neurogenetics clinic at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Maryland. Prior to Joining the FDA in November of 2022, she was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Child Neurology, and by courtesy, Pediatrics, Division of Medical Genetics at Stanford University for 5 years. Dr. Ruzhnikov completed her Medical Genetics training at Stanford University and Child Neurology training at the University of California, San Francisco. She completed her medical training at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Ruzhnikov is Board Certified in Clinical Genetics and Child Neurology and specializes in the diagnosis and care of children with rare neurogenetic disorders. In her role at the FDA, she is passionate about developing safe and effective treatments for children and adults with rare genetic disorders.
