Samantha Vergano

Associate Medical Director, Outpatient services, University of Washington School of Medicine
Dr. Vergano is the Associate Medical Director for Outpatient Services in the Division of Genetic Medicine at Seattle Children's Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Her research interests include Coffin-Siris syndrome, for which has curated a patient registry since 2015; she serves as a medical advisor to the Coffin-Siris Syndrome Foundation. She also has an interest in Bioethics/Disability ethics, patient advocacy, and teaching. She serves as the current chair of the Committee on Genetics for the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She strongly believes in the unalterable value and worth of all individuals, regardless of their genetic makeup. She enjoys running, reading, coffee, and spending time with her family and three cats.
