Sara Elizabeth Arian MD, MSc, FACOG is a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) specialist at Boston IVF, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), and clinical instructor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Molecular and Cell Biology from University of Toronto in Canada, received her MD from Iran University of Medical Sciences, and completed her Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, followed by her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Cleveland Clinic and Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Arian also has a Master's Degree in Clinical Research from Baylor College of Medicine. She is double board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology and REI. She was previously an assistant professor in REI at Baylor College of Medicine, and Texas Children's Hospital.
She is an expert in all facets of reproductive health and fertility care, including robotic and laparoscopic surgeries. She has a particular interest in fertility preservation for cancer patients, reproductive genetics, and reproductive and fertility-sparing surgeries. Dr. Arian has authored numerous publications in prestigious journals, written several book chapters, and has received multiple awards for her innovative research, including the Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI) President's Presenter's Award for her research in reproductive genetics and the Houston Top Physician and Texas Rising Star Awards.
In addition to her position at Boston IVF, Dr. Arian is a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Medical School, where she teaches and trains residents and fellows. Dr. Arian is also a member of several reproductive medicine organizations, including the ASRM, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), the International Society of Fertility Preservation, and a reviewer for Fertility and Sterility Journal.
