T. Niroshi Senaratne
Asst Clinical Professor
Dr. Senaratne is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles where she serves as an associate director of the cytogenetics and molecular diagnostics laboratories. She received a bachelor's degree in Biology and a PhD in Genetics and Genomics from Harvard University, before completing fellowship training at UCLA. She is board certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) in both Clinical Cytogenetics and Genomics as well as Clinical Molecular Genetics and Genomics. She serves as the associate program director for UCLA's Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG) fellowship program, and is also involved in teaching of clinical residents and fellows as well as genetic counseling students. She is actively involved in several professional societies including the Cancer Genomics Consortium (CGC) as well as the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) where she is currently serving as part of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
