Vincent Ustach
Dr. Vincent "Vinnie"D. Ustach is a Staff Artificial Intelligence Engineer and Applied Computational Biology Lead at GeneDx, a diagnostics laboratory specializing in rare disease. His work focuses on developing and implementing predictive algorithms that augment exome and genome testing clinical workflows.
Vinnie's research efforts at GeneDx have been published in JAMA and Nature Genetics and have been presented at the David W. Smith Meeting, ASHG Annual Meeting, and ASN Kidney Week.
Vinnie earned a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of California, Davis and subsequently performed postdoctoral research at University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Pharmacy. Before joining GeneDx in 2019, he studied computational molecular physics with applications in polymer science, biomolecule transport dynamics, and drug discovery.
