Dr. Xiaoming (Mindy) Wang is a current LGG fellow at the University of Michigan Medical School, Department of Pediatrics Division of Pediatric Genetics, Metabolism and Genomic Medicine. Dr. Wang obtained her doctorate degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Southern California under the mentorship of Dr. Joe Hacia, focusing on the transcriptome and epigenome characterization of lymphoma and the development of induced pluripotent stem cell models for peroxisome genetic disorders. Following graduation, she ventured into the biotech industry in the Bay area, specializing in the development of single molecule based in situ hybridization technologies. In 2018, Dr. Wang joined the Michigan Center for Translational Pathology as a research faculty, dedicated to developing clinical biomarker tests for the diagnosis and classification of genitourinary cancer. Her primary interest lies in advancing technology and assay development to support the cytogenetic and molecular diagnosis of cancer and constitutional genetic disorders.
