Xueyang Pan

Dr. Xueyang Pan earned a Bachelor of Medicine degree from Peking University Health Science Center in Beijing, China, and a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Minnesota. From 2020 to 2024, Dr. Pan served as a postdoctoral associate at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) and was a member of the Model Organisms Screening Center (MOSC) within the Undiagnosed Diseases Network (UDN). His research focused on modeling undiagnosed rare genetic disorders and investigating the links between sphingolipid dysmetabolism and neurodegenerative diseases. With over 13 years of research experience, Dr. Pan has authored 23 peer-reviewed research articles. In July 2024, Dr. Pan began his Clinical Biochemical Genetics fellowship training at BCM and was honored with the Next Generation Fellowship Award from the ACMG Foundation. Since 2022, he has also contributed as a variant biocurator for the ClinGen Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Disease (SCID) and Dopa Decarboxylase (DDC) Variant Curation Expert Panels.
