Yuan Ji

Associate Professor, University of Utah School of Medicine
Dr. Yuan Ji is an Associate Professor of Pathology at the University of Utah School of Medicine. She received her PhD in Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where she further completed her NIH-T32 Clinical Pharmacology Fellowship and an ABMGG fellowship in Clinical Molecular Genetics. Dr. Ji is board-certified in both Clinical Pharmacology and Medical Genetics and Genomics, and she was the former Program Co-Director for the Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG) Fellowship with the University of Utah School of Medicine. In addition to clinical and labotoary trainings, Dr. Ji received her Executive MBA from David Eccles School of Business, University of Utah with a focus on corporate and business strategy. At ARUP Laboratories, Dr. Ji is the Section Chief and Medical Director for the Molecular Genetics and Genomics and oversees areas related to the inherited genetics testing. Her clinical and research interests include clinical pharmacogenomics testing, genetics related to reproductive and women's health. Dr. Ji serves on several professional committees including the ACMG Membership Committee and the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) Standardization of Pharmacogenetic Alleles (PGx) Working Group. She has co-authored several instrumental clinical guidelines for clinical pharmacogenomics testing and implementation (e.g., AMP and CPIC).
