Alexandra Petrasek is a dedicated prenatal genetic counselor at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where she has been working in the Prenatal Diagnosis Center for nearly four years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tulane University and a Master of Science in Human Genetics & Genetic Counseling from Keck Graduate Institute. She is board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) and licensed in California. Alex began her genetic counseling career in a laboratory setting, with a major focus on next-generation sequencing (NGS) variant interpretation. Driven by her passion for reproductive genetics and women's health, Alex has found her niche in guiding individuals and families through the complexities of genetic testing and diagnosis. While most of her work centers on prenatal and preconception cases, she especially enjoys working with patients navigating IVF and fertility genetics, further expanding her expertise in these areas.
