Julie Yeo
Clinical Research Coordinator
Julie Yeo is a Clinical Research Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital, working under the guidance of Dr. Nina Gold in the Division of Medical Genetics and Metabolism. Her research broadly focuses on newborn screening and the identification of actionable genetic disorders. Julie is motivated by the potential of genomics to transform population health by enabling earlier diagnoses, improving targeted therapies, and addressing health disparities on a broader scale. Julie received her Bachelor's degree in Immunobiology from Brown University in May 2024. Prior to her research in the genetics field, she was a summer intern at the National Cancer Institute and worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the Legorreta Cancer Center at Brown University. Outside of her research, Julie is a volunteer at Rhode Island Free Clinic and enjoys staying active as an avid figure skater and novice runner. In the future, she hopes to attend medical school and touch the lives of many patients through her research, advocacy, and medical care.
