Katarzyna Thompson (Polonis) completed her Laboratory Genetics and Genomic training at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN) in 2022. She obtained her PhD in medical biology from Medical University of Gdansk in Poland. She subsequently completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and later in the Biomarker Discovery Program at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN). Her general interests include the utility of cell-free DNA in a wide array of clinical settings (from oncology to transplant medicine and prenatal testing), and defining a framework for reporting incidental findings in postnatal and prenatal sequencing.
