Margot Cousin

Margot A. Cousin, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Medical Genetics from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in the Departments of Molecular Medicine and Neurology at Mayo Clinic. She is the Director of the N-of-1 Therapeutics Program in the Mayo Clinic Center for Individualized Medicine. Dr. Cousin earned her Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Genetics and Mathematics from Northern Michigan University and her PhD in Biomedical Science: Clinical and Translational Science from Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Cousin's current research focuses on the mechanisms of rare genetic disease, developing and translating novel therapies such as antisense oligonucleotides for rare genetic disorders, and helping rare disease populations achieve clinical trial readiness.
