Max Summerlin is one of the Chief Residents for the Combined Pediatric and Medical Genetics program at Children's Hospital Colorado. During his time there he has helped create weekly educational seminars, revamped the onboarding processes for new residents, and implemented engaging case studies into conferences. Outside of chief activities, he also manages a weekly fellows clinic and is a sub-investigator for multiple clinical trials.
Prior to coming to Colorado, he had helped author works outlining the overlap, or lack thereof, of various genetic conditions and the findings seen in non-accidental trauma.
Outside of work, Max enjoys working alongside Paige Souder, MD, PhD in managing their educational genetics Instagram account, EveryGene. He also enjoys being with his family, friends, and Coconut (his dog). He is always up for a game of basketball or a good run.
