Nicole Kelly, MPH, serves as the Research Program Administrator for the Division of Pediatric Genetic Medicine at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore, the University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In this role, she leads the design, implementation, and oversight of clinical research studies and trials addressing genetic conditions across all age groups. Nicole is the Program Manager for ScreenPlus, a consented, multi-disorder newborn screening pilot program evaluating the feasibility of screening for additional disorders and exploring the ethical implications of testing for complex conditions. Previously, she served as Project Manager for the Pilot Newborn Screening for Lysosomal Storage Disorders, which screened over 65,000 newborns in New York City for five lysosomal disorders. She also played a key role in NYCKidSeq, an NIH-funded initiative within the CSER Consortium that successfully integrated genomic medicine into the clinical care of New York City's diverse pediatric populations. In addition to her research leadership, Nicole serves as the Director of Operations for the New York Center for Rare Diseases, where she advances initiatives to enhance diagnostics, care, and advocacy for individuals affected by rare conditions. Committed to improving outcomes for underserved communities, she oversees grant acquisition and management, financial oversight, regulatory compliance, and the coordination of cross-functional teams. Nicole is also a skilled data systems designer and analyst. Her academic focus lies in implementing genomic advancements into clinical practice, bridging cutting-edge science with meaningful healthcare solutions. Nicole earned a Master of Public Health in Environmental and Occupational Health from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology with honors from the University at Albany, SUNY.
