William Wilcox

Dr. Wilcox is a graduate of the UCLA School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at UCLA in 1991 and a genetics fellowship in the UCLA Intercampus Medical Genetics Training Program in 1994. Dr. Wilcox was a member of the full-time staff at Cedars-Sinai and on the faculty at UCLA from 1994-2013. He relocated to Emory in 2014 and is the medical director of the Emory Lysosomal Storage Disease Center and Genetic Clinical Trials Center. His current research includes NIH funded newborn screening pilot studies, clinical trials for metabolic and skeletal diseases, and clinical and basic research on the genetic disorders of the skeleton. He has published more than 160 peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Wilcox is a member of the Georgia Newborn Screening Advisory Committee, the North American Advisory Board of the Fabry Disease Registry and consults for various pharmaceutical companies.
