Dr. Gokce Toruner is a laboratory geneticist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, specializing in the cytogenetics of hematological malignancies, as well as NGS-based testing of solid tumors and liquid biopsies. Dr. Toruner has published on the genetic basis of solid tumors, utilizing high-throughput technologies such as gene expression microarrays, chromosomal microarrays, and next-generation sequencing. His recent research has focused on the cytogenetics of hematological malignancies, with a particular emphasis on the application of optical genome mapping in these disorders.
