Helen N. Lyon-Feeney, MD, MS, Director of the Program in Clinical Genetics Boston Children’s Hospital, Division of Genetics and Genomics
Dr. Lyon is an experienced clinical geneticist and pediatrician at Boston Children's Hospital. She has expertise in pediatric genetics, cardiac genetics, and obesity genetics. She is a clinician educator in the Harvard Medical School Genetics Training Program. She is involved in a Prader Willi Syndrome Program formed at Boston Children’s Hospital with the Division of Endocrinology. She is the Director of the Program in Clinical Genetics, helping the division create new clinical programs and methods. Her most recent research was an evaluation of Disparities in Genetic Test Results. Her previous research was in GWAS studies of obesity and diabetes. She has presented on these topics at the ACMG, ASHG, SPR and internationally. She has a master’s in Genetic Epidemiology. She has practiced genetics and primary care pediatrics in small departments, private practices and large academic institutions, and offers a broad view of clinical practice settings.
